An epic journey to discover God’s kingdom! VDC is one of the biggest events on our calendar year! Our goals are to: connect kids to Jesus, connect kids to others who know Jesus, create an experience filled with JOY, partner with parents and families, and reach the community.

Keep the summer fun going with an exciting day at Funvilla! Kids entering JK–Grade 5 this fall are invited for a full day of adventure. We’ll meet at King Street Community Church before travelling together by bus to Funvilla for an action-packed afternoon of jumping, climbing, arcade games, and plenty of fun with friends.
Join us for Community Care Day, a free event designed to bless and serve our neighbours throughout the Durham Region. Whether you're looking for clothing, household items, a fresh haircut, a free meal, or simply a fun day out with your family, we'd love to welcome you. Everything is completely free, and everyone is welcome.

We believe children are a gift from God, and Child Dedication is a moment for parents to give thanks and affirm their intention to raise their children to know and love Him. Parents commit to modeling a Christ-following life, teaching Scripture and prayer, and helping their child understand they belong to the Body of Christ. Dedications happen on the fifth Sunday, four times a year, and you can request a moment using the form.
You’re invited to our annual Movie & Meal Night! Bring the whole family and enjoy a delicious meal together, fun trivia games with prizes, and a heartwarming movie that will inspire and encourage you. Movie title and registration will be released soon, save the date.
From kids and students to adults and families, our midweek line-up has something for everyone. Step into new rhythms this fall with people who will walk alongside you. Wednesdays are an opportunity to reconnect with others and turn back to true north with your relationship with Christ. Parents, please make it a priority for your kids to be part of midweek programs!

On Wednesday, October 29, our Kids Midweek program is hosting a Costume Party full of laughter, games, and prizes for every student! This night is all about having fun, building friendships, and celebrating the joy that comes when we gather together.
Join us for an engaging training session designed to equip and encourage all our children’s ministry volunteers! Together, we’ll grow in vision, skills, and confidence as we invest in the next generation.
Join us as we explore the amazing animals, enjoy guided activities, and make lasting memories together. Kids should bring their own packed lunch, but snacks, transportation, and admission are all included in the registration fee.
