Pursue Youth Convention

  • King Street Community Church 611 King Street West Oshawa, ON, L1J 2L1 Canada (map)

We’re so excited to announce that are registration for Pursue Youth Convention is officially open!

Pursue is a Christian Conference for students grades 6–12, and it has consistently been a highlight for many students of our youth ministry each year. The heart for this event is to create space for students to genuinely encounter God, grow in their faith, and be encouraged alongside other young people who are pursuing Jesus.

Pursue is planned and hosted by our Eastern Ontario District and brings together youth groups from across Central and Eastern Ontario who are connected through the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. It is intentionally designed to strengthen local youth ministries and to help students discover that their faith is personal and powerful.

This year, the theme is Who Else based off Psalm 89:6–8. Throughout the conference, students will be reminded that there is no one like our God, unmatched in power, faithful in every season, and worthy of their trust and worship.

“For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings? In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him. Who is like you, Lord God Almighty? You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.” Psalm 89:6–8

Packing list:

– clothing for two days including pajamas
– sleeping bag and pillow (air mattress optional)
– Bible and notepad
– toiletries and extra deodorant
Please try to leave as many electronics at home as possible. Students may bring phones, but if they become a distraction, they will be held for the remainder of the event.

Accommodations

Students are invited to stay overnight at King Street Community Church. Boys will sleep in the Fusion Room downstairs, and girls will stay upstairs in the loft. If preferred, students may also be dropped off and picked up at the church for the overnight portion. This option is included in the registration form.

Waivers

All waivers are included directly in the registration form this year.

Medication

If your student requires medication during the weekend, please clearly indicate this on the registration form. Please label all medications and provide us with dosage instructions. Medications can be securely held and administered by our leaders at the appropriate times to ensure student safety, if the student is unable to administer it themselves. We can also give reminders when needed. If there are any special instructions or medical concerns we should be aware of, please include those details or reach out to Pastor Alysha directly ahead of the event.

What’s Included

Our registration cost covers everything your student will need for the weekend: registration, 3 main sessions, late-night events, all meals, afternoon activities, transportation and accommodations. Our early rate this year is $115 dollars until April 2. A sibling discount is automatically applied for families registering two or more students. We never want finances to be the reason a student cannot attend—if cost is a significant barrier—please reach out to Pastor Alysha directly.
