Purpose Statement:
King Street Youth Ministry exists to help any student belong to a safe and accepting community of Christians students where they can begin and build a life-changing relationship with Jesus by discovering how to become more like God and fulfill the needs around them.
Key Areas of King Street Youth Ministry:
BELONG: We know that students are looking to belong to community. During a time where love and acceptance is crucial for an adolescents' development, it is important that we be a place that is safe and accepting where any student can come and feel welcomed, connected, and hopefully feel a sense of belonging to our community of Christian Students.
BEGIN: Students need to experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus. We want to be a safe place where students can process questions, doubts, fears, and concerns, which will help them to begin their spiritual journey with Jesus.
BUILD: Spiritual Growth is important for any Christian to experience. We are seeking to help students build and grow in their relationship with Jesus as they wrestle through the ups and downs of life's journey.
BECOME: Every goal of any Christian should be to become more like God. We are striving to help students learn how to become more like Jesus by discovering, developing, and deploying their gifts in the communities they are apart of. We seek to recognize the needs around us and fulfill them in any way we can.
