We Believe...
In the Bible:
At King Street Youth, we believe that the Bible is the actual words of God that human authors have written while being guided along by the Holy Spirit, which makes the Bible completely unique and different from every other book. We believe that reading the Bible is the best way to figure out what God wants for us and how we should live out our lives.
In God:
At King Street Youth, we believe that there is one God and that he eternally exists in the Persons of the "Trinity" - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God sent his Son Jesus Christ to die on a cross and then be raised from the dead so that our sins could be forgiven and we could enter into relationship with God. At King Street Youth we invite every student to come along in our journey as we try to follow God the best we can.
In Community:
At King Street Youth, we believe that Christianity is a lot more than just going to church and going through the routine. We believe that Christianity means doing life together because life is tough, especially for teenagers. We believe in having a God centered community where teenagers are loved and accepted and cared for by our community. We believe that as we journey towards Jesus Christ individually and as a collective community, teenagers will be healthier and therefore, our community will be healthier.
In Teenagers:
At King Street Youth, we believe in teenagers. Not only do we want to see teenagers moving along in their spiritual journeys with Jesus, but we want to see them excel and succeed in life. We know that teenagers are faced with many issues in their life such as friends, family, school, work, future, etc... and we believe in supporting teenagers any way we can because we want to see the best for them in their lives.
In the Church:
At King Street Youth, we believe that the local church should be a place where people are loved not hated, welcomed not rejected, built up not destroyed. We believe that the local church should not only be a center for worship and teaching, but a resource to parents and families. At King Street Youth, we work hard as apart of King Street Church to help build up teenagers so that we can help strengthen families and see the local church be healthier.
