Summer Camp: Surf’s Up!

From July 5 to August 20, come and play all day!

 

 

 

King Street Church’s Summer Camp 2010 exists to be a safe place for your children to spend the summer playing and learning together. We will be available starting at 8:00 a.m. every morning, Monday to Friday, and provide full care and activities for your kids until 6:00 p.m. We are staffed by fully trained, highly capable leaders who will work with your kids in a variety of activities including sports, crafts, and special interest groups in preparation for the “variety show” at the end of the week. Also, every Thursday we will set out on a special all-day field trip to end the week with a bang.

 

No matter which week you choose to send your child to, rest assured they will have fun, make new friends, and learn valuable moral lessons they can carry with them throughout their lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the cost of the program?
   The cost is $125 per week per child, with the exception of Week 5. The cost for Week 5 is $100, since we will be closed the Monday of that week for the Civic Holiday.
    
2. Will my child be served lunch?
   Each child will need to bring a bag lunch from home every day, but they will be provided with a snack every morning and every afternoon by the camp.
    
3. Can I register my child for only a couple of days?
   For planning purposes, and to ensure that your child has the best experience possible, we require that a child be registered for the entire week of camp.
    
4. What are your operating hours?
   You can drop your child off any time between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., and pick them up between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.
    
5. How will I know what activities my child will be participating in?
   On the Monday of every week, a detailed weekly schedule will be available for you to take home so that you always know what your kids are up to, and any special instructions for theme or trip days.
    
6. How do I submit my payment?
   Once a confirmation email has been received by the camp, you are asked to drop off a cheque post-dated to the first day of the week of camp your child is attending to the church office. Multiple children can be paid for by the same cheque.

 

Registration Instructions

You can register in person in the church office or over the phone by calling 905-433-8100. You can also submit registration online by following the instructions below.

Register by completing the electronic Microsoft Word form.

To fill it out, download the file and open it in your word processor. The fields to be filled out will show up either in grey or as a white space with a red line. Click on these fields to input your information. You can tab through the document just as you would with any other form. When you are finished, save the file to your computer and e-mail it to kingstreetdaycamp@yahoo.ca. You will receive a response as quickly as possible letting you know whether your child’s placement in the program was successful based on the amount of space available.

You will receive further information by e-mail as we get closer to camp, so please ensure that all of your contact information on the form is correct. Please note that in order for your child’s registration to be complete, payment must be received by the church office and the form signed by the registering parent or guardian. The forms will be printed by the church and kept in the office for this purpose.

If you are using a Mac, or the electronic form does not work for you, you can download a PDF version of the registration form and print it out, and send it in to the church office.
