Wednesday… Momentary Chaos!!!
Well another day has ended in Gatineau. Our team is doing very well and I am so proud of each of them. They truly have come on this trip with a heart desiring to serve others. Over the last few months, our team has worked diligently to prepare for these two days (Tuesday & Wednesday) of Kids Programs. Tuesday was a meaningful day as we had seven kids come out and join us for the program. Our team worked hard to make sure that those 7 kids had an amazing time with us. We left Tuesday night anticipating another group about the same size for Wednesday. Today (Wednesday) arrived, and our team went around the neighbourhood inviting other kids to come to our Kids Program later that night. We thought that we might have a few new kids join us, but that we’d still have a relatively small group. We were wrong!!! When 5:00 pm rolled around, we had 50 kids show up at the church anticipating a night filled with fun and games. For a brief moment, panic set in as we thought about how we were going to run our program with 50 kids in a room the size of King Street’s Prayer Room. I was so proud to see our team pull together and come up with practical solutions that would ensure that every child had a positive experience with us. In the end, a moment of chaos turned into a meaningful moment for out team. We wisely separated the group of 50 kids into two groups (young kids & old kids) and put on two different programs. It forced each member of our team to take on more leadership responsibilities and they were all up to the task. It felt good knowing that we helped strengthen a bridge that Pastor Bruno and Source de Vie are trying to continually build with their local community. I’m confident that as Pastor Bruno and Source de Vie continue to serve their community that more and more people will come to discover God. We ended today feeling very encouraged with high hopes of the remaining serve projects we have for the rest of the week Thanks for all your prayer and support. It’s helping us make a difference! Missions Philosophy
Our philosophy of missions here at King Street Church is based on the biblical model found in Acts 1:8. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

What a wonderful idea to post this information so a Grandma like me can log on and enjoy reading what the kids are doing. I’m so looking forward to Nick’s return so I can hear all about what an inspiring mission they are undertaking.
Thank you so much for posting this and I look forward to logging on tomorrow to see if anything new has been posted.
