Missions' News from around the World
Tuesday in Gatineau
Well, our team is in Gatineau!!! We safely arrived last night around 6:00 PM where we were warmly greeted by Pastor Bruno and Pastor Sylvain (the youth pastor). Their hospitality has been exceptional and they have helped us feel a part of the Source de Vie family. As I write this blog, our team is busy at work getting prepared for the Kids Program we have planned for later on this afternoon. We are excited for this great opportunity to invest in the lives of the children here. We are praying that every child who comes to our program today will experience the love of God through us. It has been awesome to see God using our team to help make a positive impact already. Last night, when Pastor Bruno and Pastor Sylvain took us out for dinner, the waiter pulled me aside to comment how well behaved our students were. He began asking me where we were from and what we were doing here. I told him we were from Oshawa, Ontario and partnering with Pastor Bruno and Source de Vie to make a positive contribution to the Gatineau community. This opened the door for a great conversation that led to this young adult aged person wanting to learn more about the church. Pastor Bruno was near by and was able to talk more to this waiter and give him some information related to their Church. It felt like one of those God moments and I know Pastor Bruno was very excited! We’re praying for more of these moments and that everything we do will help people take next steps towards discovering Jesus. Yours for seeing the people of Quebec take next steps towards Jesus, Pastor JoshPosted July 28, 2009 by Pastor Josh Livingston

Missions Philosophy
Our philosophy of missions here at King Street Church is based on the biblical model found in Acts 1:8. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Québec has a huge hunger for spirituality and is now facing a bottomless pit of materialism.
Instead of effecting corrections to certain abuses of its past, it has largely rejected it.
In so doing, it has “thrown the baby with the bathwater”.
Initiatives such as this one from King St Pentecostal cannot but be extremely beneficial to all.
