Missions' News from around the World

Sunday… Last Day in Zvolen

Youth Missions Team (more photos on Flickr)

Greetings from the hallway of our Zvolen Hostel. Well, today was our last and final day in Zvolen, Slovakia. Tomorrow we board the train at 9:35 am and travel to Bratislava to spend the day and night. Then early Tuesday morning we will head to the Bratislava Airport to begin our journey home. We should be arriving back in Canada sometime in the afternoon on Tuesday. Today was a great day of ministry. The 3 team members that went to Lucenec to minister at Pastor Otto's church did a great job. I only heard good things about their time there today. The rest of us stayed in Zvolen and ministered at Pastor Cyril's church. It was a great morning together and many encouraging things were said about the work we had done. Pastor Cyril thanked us for coming to Slovakia and having such servant hearts. I was really proud of our team today knowing that we've left our finger prints here in Slovakia. This afternoon we hiked up a mountain to a famous castle ruin. It was quite the hike, but what a view!!! We took lots of pictures and we all commented that it was a great way to wrap up our time in Zvolen. I look forward to giving you a more detailed report when I return to King Street next Sunday. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel back to Canada. Thanks for supporting us this week with your thoughts and prayers. See ya when we get back!!! Love and peace, Pastor Josh & Team

Missions Philosophy

Our philosophy of missions here at King Street Church is based on the biblical model found in Acts 1:8. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
