Missions' News from around the World
Our First Assembly - Monday March 14, 2011
Today we met the children and teachers from Hindsbury Primary School in Barbados. We had the priviledge of doing our first assembly for the students of this all girls school. It was a great way to start our week. I was so proud of our team and the confidence they showed as we led the students in songs, object lessons, a memory verse, drama, and a puppet show. Our team did exceptional and it made me excited for all the children we get to influence with the Gospel this week in Barbados!
It was so good to be able to start at Hindsbury Primary School because of an exisitng relationship we already have with this school. Hindsbury Primary School is the school we sponser through Seeds International. In 2011, we will be providing these 200 girls with the necessary resources to see them discover Jesus and grow to understand God more fully in their life. It was great to connect with the teachers, staff, principal, and students and be so warmly welcomed and received. I felt good knowing that the missions support we raise at King Street Church would go towards seeing this girls grow in Christ.
We have just begun our school assemblies but it has already been such a rewarding experience. We are praying together as a team that the Holy Spirit would guide and lead us through each presentation and he would be working on the hearts of these children before we even arrive. Please pray with us this week that as we remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading, that children's lives would be greatly impacted at each presentation.

Missions Philosophy
Our philosophy of missions here at King Street Church is based on the biblical model found in Acts 1:8. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
