Monday – An Answer to Prayer
It rained today…
As thousands of tourist here for March Break sought shelter while cursing the rain and telling it to go away so that they could go back to enjoying the sunny vacation they all dreamed of, our team was in a large room with 200 students singing and clapping for joy.
Over the past month, Barbados has been experiencing what they’ve called an extreme drought. It has been so bad that they’ve considered turning off water to the island for portions of the day to conserve the precious resource. One of the locals said to us that the rain today has been an answer to prayer. We laughed at the end of our morning assembly as the students gave us two rounds of applause: one for our presentation and one for bringing rain with us.
The assemblies have been exceptional. Our team is a strong one and I love that our members are so driven to improve and tweak their parts so that we continue to execute a meaningful and engaging presentation. The atmosphere in the schools has been amazing. I love visiting different countries and experiencing the warm hospitality; walking into a room filled with kids with big smiles and open hearts is something that is so uplifting. Our team has really enjoyed watching kids engage and genuinely have fun!
Please continue to pray for our team as we continue to do our part to serve here in Barbados.

Missions Philosophy
Our philosophy of missions here at King Street Church is based on the biblical model found in Acts 1:8. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
